Aquilegia flabellata var. pumila f. alba, commonly known as fan columbine or Japanese fan columbine, features showy white blooms. It grows to reach an average mature height of 10 in (25 cm) and a width of 10 in (25 cm).
Aquilegia flabellata var. pumila f. alba blooms on and off throughout mid spring - early summer.
It is extremely hardy & can be grown even so far north as USDA zone two, or three to eight more certainly. Not terribly heat hardy, it won't tolerate full sun in zone nine, but does prefer full sun in the north.
