Rhododendron x ''Pioneer Silvery Pink''

Silvery Pink Rhododendron

Categories: Broadleaf Evergreens

An early-blooming, hardy, small-leaved rhododendron that offers flowers of a gentler color than those of the PJM Hybrids, this introduction from Hoogendoorn Nurseries of Middletown, Rhode Island, bears showy domed trusses of soft purplish-pink blooms from early to mid-spring. The wide-flaring, wavy-edged, funnel-shaped flowers have red-speckled upper lobes.
